In the aftermath of the unprecedented missile strikes on Bat Yam by Iranian forces, our city faced destruction and despair. Homes were damaged, families were displaced, and entire neighborhoods were shaken to their core. In those darkest moments, Meir Panim responded without hesitation.

Meir Panim helped with compassion, speed, and unwavering dedication. Within days, they mobilized critical resources to support our affected residents. Hundreds of thousands of shekels in emergency food cards were distributed, ensuring that families had immediate access to groceries, baby supplies, clothing, toys, and other basic essentials that bring a sense of normalcy in crisis. This was not just humanitarian aid—it was a lifeline. It was dignity restored. Meir Panim has proven to be more than a partner. They are part of our community’s resilience. Their team showed up when it mattered most, and their impact will be felt here for a long time to come. As Mayor of Bat Yam, I offer my deepest thanks to Meir Panim for their extraordinary response. I also offer my full endorsement of their continued efforts to support Israeli families during times of crisis. I urge all those who care about the wellbeing of our people to support Meir Panim’s work. Together, we rebuild.

The crown jewel of Meir Panim’s work is its network of soup kitchens spread throughout Israel, particularly in peripheral regions, where each day thousands of brokenhearted people can enjoy hot, nourishing meals. This successful operation was established in light of the harsh economic conditions and the dreadful hardship faced by hundreds of thousands of families in Israel, who are prevented by socioeconomic difficulties from accessing basic nutrition.

Meir Panim deals extensively in the area of charity and providing assistance to others, standing alongside every needy individual and embittered soul, poor and large families, terror victims and their families, the elderly and the helpless, children and at-risk youth, and many others, giving them warmth and love, strengthening them, encouraging them, and assisting them generously and sincerely, with magnanimity and remarkable expertise.

I would like to express my deep gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding charitable work that you are doing for the people of Tiberias. Your long-term commitment to supporting the less fortunate residents of our city helps alleviate the difficulties of those who are struggling with their everyday survival and brings dignity to their lives.
Your work is particularly inspiring as you provide an important service to those who are in need through a respectable establishment that honors the “clients” and operates with caring staff and volunteers who take a deep interest in the people they serve and their well-being. The door is always open for anyone who feels the need for a warm meal in times of crisis.
As we move forward to develop the potential of our city and bring it to the forefront of modern Israeli society, we must never forget our weaker links. The work of Meir Panim significantly assists in strengthening our city and its residents by creating a more resilient society that is better prepared for the challenges of the future.

We have had a partnership with Meir Panim for many years. We are privileged that they are helping to distribute food in Yeruham. Teens from Yeruham have taken part in the “Young Chef Training Program” in Dimona, which helps train teens in the culinary arts.
The head of Meir Panim’s Dimona branch lives in Yeruham, knows the families in the city, and takes responsibility for them. Residents of Yeruham are grateful for the assistance from Meir Panim. They understand that someone is there to help them and has come to their home to help. That is the beauty of the organization — they fulfill their mission without headlines. For Alon Davidi:

Sderot, a town in the western Negev, has experienced 18 years of continuous military tension which has overshadowed our normal lives in the city. Rockets being fired from the Gaza Strip have upended the lives of local citizens, and this continuing reality has ended many lives, both physically and mentally.
Upon my election 6 years ago, the city of Sderot began an unprecedented growth in development, physical infrastructure, education, and social services. We have carefully taken control of stabilizing the social and educational services in the city. However, an immediate and acute response to a continuous harsh reality is a major challenge that requires extensive cooperation between multiple organizations, especially when it comes to therapeutic relief efforts.
In recent years, Meir Panim has partnered with us in managing the city’s youth centers, many of which primarily help disadvantaged youth in neighborhoods and bridge social and educational gaps widened over these tumultuous years.
Our partnership with Meir Panim in our neighborhood youth centers enables us to keep a watchful eye on our youth and deeply invest in them. I am deeply appreciative of our partnership with Meir Panim. Together, we can truly elevate our excellent youth in Sderot.

Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of witnessing Meir Panim’s activities on behalf of the needy in Israel. Meir Panim is an organization with a vision to eradicate poverty through supplying services to the needy with dignity and with a view to aiding them in their return to an independent lifestyle. Its restaurants and equipment centers, along with its clubs for children and at-risk youth and vocational training courses, serve to give weaker populations solutions to their needs while maintaining their self-respect.
Meir Panim’s newest venture, a food center which will supply up to 30,000 hot meals each day, is its most ambitious yet. When realized, children in the region will be well-fed and will be able to study with ease, on full stomachs, helping them to achieve academic success and offering them opportunities for advancement that they would not otherwise have. I wish Meir Panim all the best in its endeavors. It is my fervent hope that someday we will no longer need Meir Panim’s services in Israel.

Meir Panim is the most incredible nationwide organization dedicated to serving the impoverished and needy of Israel.

To the administration, employees, and volunteers of the Meir Panim food centers — may the blessing of God be upon you! “For I said: The world is built through kindness.” Indeed, the virtue of gemilut chasadim (performance of kindness) not only constitutes one of the three pillars on which the world stands, but is also among the fundamental attributes of the offspring of our patriarch Abraham.
I came, saw, and was shown that if anyone would, Heaven forbid, try to speak negatively of, or prosecute against, the People of Israel, we must say to him: Go take a look at Meir Panim! There, in the food center, you will see the radiant faces that shine upon all those in distress and despair; there you will find alongside the food being served a warm smile and kind word. Fortunate are you for the reward you will receive, and I can only wish to share in your portion.

Meir Panim’s reputation has spread from one end of the country to the other as an organization devotedly involved in the needs of the public. The Meir Panim organization brings people together and bridges the gap between the different ethnic groups, communities, and sectors that make up the population of Israel.
But all this is nothing in comparison to their endless devotion and concern for the underprivileged among us who depend on the generous gifts of others. They care for all the needs of those who cannot support themselves and, in a very real sense, keep them alive. The organization’s primary achievement lies in the fact that the beneficiary never feels like someone in need, like a beggar.

With everything happening in Israel, with the inflation of prices and the rise of living expenses, we see more and more families affected economically…Everyone can contribute in some way…

Meir Panim has concerned itself again this year with making sure everyone has a proper meal for the holiday of Passover, all over Israel. Because of their work, every person will be able to have a joyous holiday, with food and great happiness.

Meir Panim does great charity work giving out hot meals throughout the entire year. This year has been specifically difficult for many families. Because of Covid-19, many new families have joined the list of those that the organization gives out hot meals too.

It is worth donating to Meir Panim with an open hand, with a good eye and with an open heart.

People come to Meir Panim without hesitation or shame; they come for nourishment and leave feeling dignified. It is a lively place, full of humanity, that respects both those it serves and its dedicated employees.

Yehudit is far more than a manager for Meir Panim’s efforts in Tiberias; she is a dedicated and compassionate leader with a tremendous drive to help those in need. Thanks to her and the entire Meir Panim crew, every hungry and destitute person in Tiberias has a place to turn for assistance.
